My new wheel purchase: Rays Shot Gun
So, I just picked these up ...

Hopefully they're in halfway decent shape. I don't mind doing a little restoration.
However, my question is this: Does anyone know anything about these rims? I obviously know Rays wheels, but I can't seem to find any information on these guys. I know they're a 9-lug wheel (4x100 and 5x100), but that's it. They are allegedly Ray's "Shot Gun" wheels according to the place I bought them (RB Motoring). However, I can't find any thing regarding "Shot Gun" by Rays Engineering.
Any info on these would be great. Any photos of the wheels on cars would be good, too. I LOVE this look, so I'm happy I could pick these up.

However, like I said, I can't find any vehicles with theme on it, and I can't find anything that says Rays made these wheels (at least on the Internet).

Thanks; I'm really excited about these.
I just wish I could find anything, any sort of picture or reference to these wheels. I guess I just want to make sure they really are Rays wheels. Maybe they go by a different name or something because I can't find squat on these things.

But they acually do have rims that are clear in the center, made of some type of clear plastic used on the space shuttle, i saw them at SEMA

I can't decide how I feel about that. They are impressive looking, but could you imagine keeping those clean?
They're 1.5-2" polycarbonate but I'm not sure how they'd do on a big pothole. It'd be over if I cracked a $5,000 wheel.

Well, I disassembled the wheels, hopefully it'll make them easier to refinish.
You can see the inside of the barrels are pretty dirty/oxidized. I'm tempted to take a brillo pad to them. The backs of the centers are also oxidized. They came apart pretty easily, actually. I got the name of a couple of places around town, so we'll see. I just wonder how much work I can do up front to reduce refinishing costs ...
