need help painting wheels. design.
ok so I have these wheels,
and i want to paint them black and red. I was thinking about black spokes, with a red lip, but my question is how much of the lip should I do? just were the "rivets" are, or the full lip?
if someone wanted to do a photo shop of diff stuff that would be awesome too.
thanx.

You could paint the whole wheel black first then just mask the very flats of the spokes and paint the rest bright red then clearcoat to seal them up. They would be very different.

my $.02:
whole rim minus the hub and scion symbol mat black, red rivets, have someone (possibly yourself depending) pin stripe the same red in an arc fashion from the edge of the rim down the spoke and "u-turn" around down the other spoke. Then complete this for the rest of the spokes.
-I don't know if you get the idea, I put it into paint and it looked ok but I don't know how to upload the pic sorry. If you are going for the theme of your cars it would give it a ratrod feel to the rim.

As I started to tape them off, and paint them last night I realized how much of a pain it is going to be and that they will not be anywhere close to perfect. I think I am going to do the whole wheel black and do some of that thin red pinstripe tape along the outside edge of the wheel before I clear coat it.
