I guess I got to this thread too late, but I was going to say black spokes with a candy red lip. Here's candy apple red over silver base coat:

well I finally got these done yesterday. and here is what I ended up with. I know they are not perfect, but being my "beater wheels" i don't really care. I used a flat clear coat on them.

how did you do the red pinstripe and what did you use? thats clean.

Those look friggin great! Just make sure that whoever mounts those tires is really careful.

thanx guys.
on the pin stripe, I painted the wheel first and then use some thin pinstripe tape and put that on, PITA to keep straight, and then clear coated over the tape and the rest of the wheel.
