Default Question about axis reverbs/tire sizes.

I searched the forums last night and this morning and can't find a specific answer to my questions.

I was going to get 5zigen FN01R-C wheels but found out they don't make the 4x100 pattern in black with a polished lip, so I've decided to go with the Axis Reverbs in a 17" x 7.5" wheel.

I'm a beginner when it comes to tire and wheel sizing, so bear with me.

I need to know what size tires I should get. Should I go with the 215/40/17 or 205/40/17. What is the difference?

Also, with the Reverbs in 17"x7.5", will I need spacers?

Thanks in advance....

By the way, I have goldline springs.

What offset should the wheels be?

the 205 will have a more stretched look, not too much though, but the 215 will offer slightly(very little) more protection from a curb or debris, its what you think will look better

oh, no you will not need spacers

215's would be the better choice for a 7.5" wide wheel. Of course realistically, 235's look the best on a wheel that wide, but I think that's a tad too wide a tire for the box..

I have the reverbs and I am running 215 45 with the H spring drop, you should be fine with 40's. And yes you will need rear spacers if ya get the 42 offset. The rear trailing arm has a weld point that sticks out about two to three milimeters that stick out and rubs on the rim. If not spacers get out the grinder! I hope this helps. Good rim choice man it will look good with yellow.

The local tire place is telling me to go with the 205/40/17. They are saying that'll work best with my 2" Goldlines, yet I don't think they've put wheels on any xb's yet. Either way, I'm waiting to here how long it'll be to get the wheels. They were told that Axis has moved its facilities and production/shipping times have slowed down...
We'll see tomorrow...

I'll be sure to let them no that tomorrow when I call to see what's up with ordering the wheels. Thanks for the info.

Looks like I'll probably go with the 205's.

Has anyone heard of GSW wheels. I can't find any info on them on the web. I find a lot of TSW stuff, but nothing on GSW. The tire/wheel place I'm working with says they have a style called Volcano that is a lot like the Reverbs.

Where do you suggest getting the reverbs. Wheelsnext.com was $1060 to the door, but they are saying a two week wait till them come in then ship.

This sucks, I want to get wheels ASAP, but can't find anyone local that has them. The price locally was $1064 including lugs/mounting/etc...

Anyone have any suggestions?
