closest to stock is a 35 series - could easily get away with 40 series for a more cumfy ride.

You are going to have to go with at least a 225 for an 8inch wheel 235 might be better. 225 will be a little streached, 235 will look better.

there are some guys running a 215/35 on an 8, but to me, it's insane to stretch a 35

lol Frosty, OK before I go out and buy my rims and tire I need to look into it more. I was told I shouldn't be able to run a 18x8 32 mm offset on an xb with out rolling the fenders and camber kit. So I am going to do more searching to make sure itll work on a daily driver. Mind you I havent even dropped my XB yet. thanks for the help so far..

If you plan on lowering your xb with the wheel of choice - 18x8 - 32mm offset - you might
have to roll the fenders for proper clearance. I run a 18x7.5 - 42mm offset and 10mm
rear hub spacers. Your wheel of choice is a 1/2" wider and has almost a 1/2" less offset.
This should put it pretty close to the edge of the fender(front & rear). At stock height you
might get away without any rubbing, but lowered, very questionable. Alot of guy's are using a special "camber" plate to make the tops of the tires tuck. One is available from
onetongarage. By using the 10mm spacers on the rear I'm very close to edge of the fender and came very close to having to roll the rear fenders after installing my air bag
setup. If you have any ? please pm me.
