Default Rota wheels, +20 offset, lowered xB.. problems?

i searched and found some mixed ideas so i wanted to just ask and see if i could get the right correct answer.

i have a 2005 xB with hotchkis suspension (springs, sway bars).
brakes are stock right now but i plan on upgrading in the future.
use this box mainly for daily use but i do auto-x it from time to time when my Datsuns are broke.... which happens alot.

im looking for new wheels and with my color scion (solar yellow) not much looks good in my eyes.
i cant afford much so what i found that i like and can afford is the Rota Slipstream in gun metal.
i know.. not very different but i cant find anything else thats light weight, cheap in price and will fit well with the cars paint/theme.

problem im having is offset...

will 16 x 8.0 +20 wheels all around work on my lowered box?
tires will be 205-50-16's.. if i could put wider how much could i go without problems?

any help would be great, want to get ready before next track day.

also if anybody has some ideas on different wheels in the 15 to 16in size that will have the great offset and will look good on a yellow box please post up your ideas.
i dont knock anybodys ideas and im always looking to others ideas.

thanks

Mike

I'm running 16x7s all around with +35 in front and +20 in the rear. I do not rub, even with four people in the car. I am on Tein S-Techs. However, if I were a few millimeters out farther, I'd rub in the back with four people in the car.

so then a +20 all around on my xB in a 16x8 wheel with a 205-50-16 tire shouldnt rub at all and will clear all suspension/brake parts.......?

thanks

also just to be safe...

a 15x7 in a +35 offset all around will fit fine, look good and i wont need to buy any shims and or spacers... right?

also just to find out..

if rota is willing to do this..

16x7 front with +40 offset and rear 16x8 with a +20 offset.... would that work with my lowering suspension and no shims/spacers...?

thanks again.. sorry but searching on this forum is hard.
most ppl running alot bigger wheels and or alot crazier or higher offset..

im running a 16x8 +26 w/ 195/50/16. i have 1 degree camber on the fronts and they still rub occasionally on big bumps or turns. the rear should be fine but unless you have adj. pillowball mounts to camber or riding with a mild drop you are going to rub the front. i say take the time and spend the $$$ to get them to fit. wheels that have the right offset to make them flush make a world of difference. i actually want rims that are wider but i can't seem to let go of these rare ssr's....one day maybe.....
this is the rear:

you can see the fronts here

was running the Rota D2's
in a 17x8.5" +25 offset.

had S-Tech's and rubbed
when i had 2 people in the back.

i think my tires were 205/40 or 205-45.

should be fine besides fender rolling.

i really dont wanna roll my fenders, i dont feel like doing it myself atleast.
so a +20 offset all around would be fine, and also a +35 offset would be fine all around..
wouldnt need no spacers or etc... right.

btw love your box, really like what you have done to it.

with a +20 offset you will be ok in the back ...worst case you might need to roll your fender but its worth it at the end...

im on 17x8 +30 all around and i have OTGs 10 mm spacer in the rear.... i am still thinking of getting some 5mm all arouns on top of that... and im on Cusco coilovers so im def. going lower aswell.... im at +3" drop right now.
