Default sportmax 003

okay so i ave sportmax 003's and some avid trz's the 205/60's i think.

at any rate i have a viberation in the steering wheel and have had since the tires were mounted up the first time about 13k ago. been doing some searching and just found out about the hubcentric rings and it sounds like this may be my main issue so i need some with a 54.1mm I.D. but what size O.D. do i need anybody know?

so far to correct the issue i had a rotate and balance done by the installing tire retailer(bought the wheels in a group buy from jlb here and the tires local).

after that balance and rotate the problem got worse not better. then i picked up some shrapnel in my right front and had to get a patch and rebalance done somewhere elese(no spare in the car i know not the best plan) and it got better but still worse than it was.

i don't feel any vibes coming from the rear just in the steering wheel. drove it to miami today and noticed that it comes and goes at varing accerations mostly when i am accelerating it seems less and once i get to cruising speed it returns/gets worse

aside from the hcr's anything else i should look into?

05 box with 57k on the odo stock suspension other than the rims and tires

try calling tire rack or you can email them www.tirerack.com thye will be able to tell you what hcr's you need for you rims .... also make sure there is no rust on the hub where the rim sits that can cause vibration issues as well

Are the bolt patterns a dual bolt pattern with 4x100 and 4x114.3? If that's the case, then yes all you need is the hub centric rings and they'll cost you about $10 for the both of the fronts. All you will need is the fronts, so don't worry about the back.

wasn't sure if they'd know i'll do that

yes on the dual bolt patterns

also found that the place that did the patch and re-balance didn't air them all the way up too. so i did on my way back from miami yesterday which helped alot but not all gone yet

will be getting the hcr's hopefully next week

thanks for the tips
