so an 18x7.5 rim would benefit from a 215 width tire and get maximum tread life if i understand this correctly? Also what would you recomend for height, 30, 40?

215/35/18 is close to stock diameter and will have as good of tread life as u can get with 18's and 35 series.

I'm running 215/35-18s up front on my 18x7.5s. Its the closest to OEM rolling diameter and the tire has the "squared" off appearance. I have the same tire in the rear on an 8.5 wide wheels for a semi stretched appearance.

I wanted to run a 205/40-18 up front w/ a small stretch, but the freeways (205, 580, 880, 680, 24, 80, and 5) aren't exactly blemish free like the Autostrada in Italy or the Autobahn in Germany.
