Default tire people i need some help............

wassup this is my first post, been on here lurking for a while just needed to stop in. i'm actually an old minitrucker and love what you guys are doing with these scions.... anyways my wife has an xb with stock steelies and hubcaps i believe it is a 185/60-15 with 65k on them. actually shocked the car is stock height and she drives it dailey and carrys around our daughter but the tires are shot.... i dont want to spend that much money on the same ones.

my questions are. what other sizes have been ran in this same situation and is there any rubbin?

what other tires would fit with no problem??

i read 195-50s,205-50s,185-65s,195-55s,195-65's would all work and many more what would be the best for the cheapest price and work like they should.....

thanks guys anyhelp would appreciate.... have to buy tires in acouple days......

if you want just a stock replacement and no performance i'd say the 185/65 is probably gonna be your cheapest bet.

185 65 is cheap but it's oversized.

i'd go with 205/55 on stock rim. or 195 60/55

if you want to upgrade to wider 15's 215/50

Apparently, undersized tires were fitted for the American market, with the stock Japanese size being 185/65R15... I haven't really checked it out myself, but apparently our speedos run fast as a result... so you can easily go to a more common 185/65R15, or 195/60R15 set to get the best deal. No rubbing issues with either size, and they're right for the 6" rims.

Both the Falken Ziex 512's and Yokohama avid trz are highly favored low priced all season tires... as are BFG traction TA's- it just depends on what you can find locally as to what's the best deal...

Your Avatar doesn't tell us where you live, but if there's a Discount tire store nearby, that's a good place to start shopping. Every time I need tires, I shop around, but end up right back there, over and over again. YMMV, of course, but they've done me right for many years.

You can also order online from them or tirerack.com or a bunch of others, if you're willing to have the mounting done locally by somebody else...

Here's another good tire calculator that's better for comparing more than 2 tire sizes.
