Tire Pressure Sensor Recalibration

Tire Pressure Sensor Recalibration

Use this procedure to recalibrate aftermarket wheels/tires on the tC:
1) Turn ur engine on
2) Set the E-Brake (pull up)
3) Press and hold the tire "reset" button in the glove box
a) The tire pressure sensor light should blink 3 times consecutively
4) You must drive the vehicle for about 10 miles without turning off the engine. This will recalibrate the tire pressure sensor.

been thinking about this and does anyone know the threshold for the tire pressure warning to trigger +/-psi? and is it part of the abs system meaning would the abs come on sooner or later depending on what the pressure was 'set' to versus what it actually is? like if you pump the tires up to 51psi cold, set the system then bleed them out to 40 would that affect abs activation in any way? i'd try it but my commute to work is only ~8 miles (and takes 30-45 min!) crawling on the freeway.
