Toyo Proxes 4's or BFGoodrich KDW's new tread??
I'm trying to figure out which would be a better tire to go with....I've got it narrowed down to Toyo Proxes 4 tires or BFGoodrich KDW's new tread. If you have used either or both or any other comments on which you think is better, I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks in advance....

one thing I looked for in a tire is a rim guard. you know the little "flap" of rubber near the lip on the tire to help protect the lip from curb rash. I didn't chech either of the tire choices if they have that or not.
alot of my friends run Toyos and really like them. I have Fuzion tires so I'm not a big help to you with experience.

Btw, what size tires are you looking at?

I've also heard that Toyo's track better than the KDW's too. So I'm sorta leaning towards toyo's now.

I am an authorized toyo and bfg dealer. I get mixed reviews on the kdw,it has a little softer compound so it sticks a bit better. the toyo seems to always sell great though.Dont get
me wrong the proxes 4 is still pretty sticky, but a little harder compoud so it will last a little longer, and its a little cheaper price wise. All and all I would definately go toyo

I was reading a post about someone who bought 205/45/17's KDWs w/17x7 rims and he said that they have great water traction, stick nice, etc. BFG has proven themselves with their old Touring T/A back in the day and the Mud Terrains for the 4x4s I would stick with them, never had a problem before.

Tire size that protects.
I used Nitto 555 and Toyo Proxy 225/35/18 on a 7 1/2 inch wide rim and w/ 2 inch drop no rub and the tire actually hangs a little over the wheel lip saving you from serious curb rash. This is an expensive set up but I had it on two XB's.
