Default VIP Style without JDM rims, looks good! But does it pass?

I just found this, looks VIP style to me...

I just got more reality check today on getting JDM VIP Rims as far as prices and availability. Some people might opt for Luxury/Italian style bling blings, the styles seem innovative and the price is right. Im sure the rims here in the USA cost a lot in Japan as well. Should we be happy using the rims here in our hometown for VIP Style? Not VIP American Style like the bBs that look like Astros or Dodge Caravans, but VIP Style with American parts. Im also talking the more classy bling blings here in the USA, not the 100 generic brand ghetto styles. Lets see what the options are for the open minded and slightly more shallow pocketed. Are we paying more for JDM VIP because of the better quality/finish/fitment or is it just the cost of exporting/shipping/demand, or is VIP style ranked higher if signature JDM parts are used?

well its on air so thast a good start. the wheels are awesome style. the only thing i cant get past is how the wheels are sunken in. thast not VIP style when you're tucking all 4s. i would say that could be very mild VIP style and a good start, but it would be better to push those wheels out for a wider stance. i think VIP is all about low wide stance IMO. people have differing views of VIP style though so you will get different answers on this. im anxious to see what others say.

JDM is the styling you see in Japan and in the bB bibles. ViP is like the next step up. ViP being slammed down on the ground, low offset wheels, and a good amount of lip on the wheel.

With all due respect, folks might not get the constructive part of that comment. How far or how close is it to VIP Style, is it a minor change or major? As far as I know so far it just needs some spacers and maybe some camber. Thoughts?

VIP, JDM.... BIG DEAL! As long as the car looks good to you, that's fine.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!

The only time that counts to me, is if you are entering a ViP specific contest and all of the criterias are meet.

Its your car, you pay for it, you pay for ther mods, you make the car suitable to your style.

I honestly do not care if people get the constructive parts of my posts or not.

camber does NOT make a car vVIP. people need to get that connontation out of their heads.

it has a nice clean body kit , is on air or very low coilovers. it's a nice car with hideous wheels on it. it looks nice but is NOT VIP

if you wanna go even further. xb's are not VIP. they can just be VIPstyled.

go with what you like dude, dont fall into the trap of having to feel categorized and limit yourself. if you dig it, you dig it.

IMO (which shouldnt matter to you) i dont dig them too much. they would look funky with the whole "flow" of the car.

the BASIC BASIC BASIC premise of VIP styling is low and wide...low ride, low offset, wide set. im by far not an expert on VIPstyling or wheels, but i cant really think of too many american wheels other than j-line & iforge that deal with low offsets and they cost around the same as JDM wheels. so you might as well just try to save up and get what you like.

I only mentioned camber because someone else stated that it was one of the things lacking. Are we debating VIP vs VIP Style semantics? If it is not VIP Style how far is it, minor/major? Someone mentioned a VIP car show. Can you educate me on what a VIP/VIPStyle judges scoresheet would look like with the categories and how this car would score with quantifiable and measurable numbers if you were the judge? Maybe your car or a friends car that you can score too? Maybe an extreme VIP car and score that for reference? It seems that being VIP Style judge might be simple to some folks, I wouldnt be a good judge. Peace.

According to our Chicago HIN, VIP was anything Mercedes, BMW or any other Euro trash car with "DUBS".
