Default VIP WHEELS ELITE, which brand wheel ranks the highest?

Ive heard from some VIP folks that Works are the low end and Weds are the high end. Someone also mentioned that SSR makes wheels for others but are actually under the Weds brand. Others mention European sounding brands like Zauber, Lowenhart, etc. Can any VIP folks shed some light on what the upper crust VIP wheels can be run on the xB?

Which brands are the shizzle and does it have to be JDM? Peace...

I like SSR myself. And technically now theyre under Tanabe (anyone wanna confirm me there). Works are nice but like the DHs, theyre low end dish wheels. Zaubers are fairly cheap. Fabulous are nice as hell. Lowenharts are awesome. It all depends on what you're going for on what wheel will even work with your setup. Name brands dont bother me but whatever. Go with what LOOKS good, not with what name SOUNDS good.

Thanks for the tip, sometimes someone mentions a cool brand and I follow up and find the designs that they feel look good is also good for me too. I hate to say this but sometime branding matters just to lead you to the good quality or styles. I know if I was running something like American Racing rims it wont rank as high as Veilside(if these rims are supposed to be good). Frankly the names sound more European, but the names lead me to some cool designs. Peace..

What you need to understand is that no matter what style you are going for, be it VIP, Hot Rod, Tuner, etc. what matters is quality and construction. There are far too many uneducated people putting emphasis on a name, or even the price of a wheel. None of that matters.

When I am choosing a wheel, these are my priorities...

1. Construction (Material, Manufacturing)
2. Quality (Partially dictated by item 1)
3. Style (What patterns do I like)
4. Pricing (Self explanatory)
5. Brand (I am not buying a wheel for a name)

That being said, there are cases where item 5 can substitute for items 1 and 2. While this may sound contradictory to my statements above it really isn't. Items 1 and 2 aren't being ignored because of item 5. Items 1 and 2 are already a known variable because of item 5.

With that said... Happy Shopping.

Hi folks, thanks for the comments! I was more interested in the certain brands that the hardcore VIP Style folks go after and why. I know in the bigger picture its not supposed to matter but Im taking a narrow view on what the Scions with VIP Style would worship regarding Wheel Model/Brand.

Kranze's make good rims. Its too bad when toyota made the bB's, they made them with 4X100 PCD's instead of 5X100's. The xB's are limited on VIP Style rims. The only rims I know that companies make for the xB's are Work DH, Work Seeker, Fabulous Expand, and some of the SSR rims.

Don't forget AME. They have a couple nice selections for the xB too. Otherwise, Do a hub conversion and you can buy whatever you like. Then, here's some more sites. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, other Work wheels that can be used for sure would be the Euroline S2H, FS, SE, and VD. The LS105 would work too. Don't limit yourselves to just the DH cuz it's only wheel people buy.

A lot of the brand name wheels have their own VIP section. As for example Work has its Euroline... any of the eurolines are VIP. And then SSR has Vienna... all those are VIP. RAYS has... A/X. I dunno if you guys heard about it but its called Arthur Exchange. If it comes to popularity in the USA... Euroline definitely wins.

How does the Vienna series rank? Closer to the Top 2-5?

Vienna Series by SSR? They rank damn near top in my book! Ahead of Euroline DH and some of those IMHO.

Generally speaking, you can learn a lot just by looking at prices. Typically -at least in Japan- you get what you pay for...

I heard Kranze's rank higher than Vienna and Ive seen some wicked deep sizes but in 19s. I already have Work rims with some lip, but I'm considering to step up but It will be the last upgrade so I need to make it count. Most might settle for the Work rims.
