What color XXR 513 for BOP?
I've been rolling on Maxxim Screech's, black with polished (nonexistent) lip and face, for the past 3 years or so and am wanting to switch it up now. I've decided that the XXR 513 is the wheel I want (seriously considered the Konig Rewind last time around), but can't decide on the color. I've found several pics of this wheel, just not on a blue box. The red with polished lip pops, but I'm thinking it might be too much. The black with polished lip is pretty similar to what I have already. The all black with red pinstripe looks awesome, but not sure about all black wheels... sorta would like them to stand out more. I'd go with 15x7 +15 with 195/60's until I need tires again, then probably go with 50 series.
I'm not one that cares to much about what other people think about what I do to the box, but I'd like some opinions. I have no intention in spending more on wheels than the price range these are in, so please no "save up and buy nicer wheels". Thanks guys.
Edit: Oh yeah, I'm lowered on Tein S-Tech's and Echo struts w/ 10mm hub spacer from Keoki in the rear.

I've toyed with the idea of the gold, too. I sure wish they made a bronze version - I guess I could get them powder coated, but that'd be more money. Those are 16's aren't they? Do you have any issues rubbing without camber?
#6
yeah they are sixteens. without camber, i actaully didnt rub "to" bad, but i did rub, plus i rolled, err, pounded the hell out of my fenders, even with camber they rub at the ten o clock mark (if looking at the drivers side fender)

I'm seriously considering bagging the box later this summer, I think I might run into some rubbing issues because I don't want to run camber. Debating on waiting on wheels till that happens to see for myself what kind of clearance I'd have. Arghh - decisions, decisions.

I just ordered the gold with polished lip in 15x7 +15mm after much hemming and hawing. Figures, by the time I decide what I want ebay cashback is gone from bing. Is sgmotoring the only people that have the gold ones? I haven't seen them anywhere else.
I found the Axis OG-san's for $600, but ultimately my cheapassness won over and spent $200 less. $200 can do a lot of other stuff.

Here's a pic from my iPhone. Nasty rainy day, and a bird crapped on the side of my car. I'm really digging these, I'm glad I went with gold. Very happy with the stance too, pretty flush and no poke - exactly what I was aiming for. The shop that mounted the tires rolled the fenders too. The 195/60 is a bit meaty, but they've still got a lot of life left in them so they'll be sticking around for a while. Whenever it comes time to replace them, I'll probably go with a 195/50. I hope the DF210s settle soon, right now I'm about a half inch higher than I was with the S-Techs.
15x7 +15mm XXR 513s, 195/60-15 Falken Ziex 912s, DF210s (installed 4 days ago, unsettled), Echo KYB struts, 10mm hub spacer

Good choice! I considered, well, every color the 513s come in. Gold definitely works. Wise choice on the 15x7s all around; I have yet to get my rear fenders rolled to clear my 8s (it's that or camber, and I'm not the biggest fan of uneven tire wear).

Thanks guys. I'm already considering going ahead and getting new tires. The springs have started to settle some and I rubbed a couple of times coming home from work. I think I have my old wheels sold, so maybe they'd want the tires too.

I would probably rub with 195/60s but I'm going with those next time anyway.
I have Koni/DF210 (w/ 1/2 coil cut) for the same look in the front, but with amazing handling.

I had the black and silver Maxxim Screech. They were +38, so no issues at all with them.
I don't rub too bad, really. If I corner sharp and fast, like at an intersection. I probably will if I have passengers in the back, even with the rolled fenders.

Well, I had some 195/50-15 Nitto 450s put on today. They still rub. I hit a huge hole and it sliced the sidewall up something awesome, not even 50 miles on the damn things. The hub spacers are coming off. I hate to loose the stance, but I'm not dicking with rubbing anymore. Soon to be for sale: 10mm hub spacers made by keoki.

So 17x7 38offset would not rub at all if I were to have the money for something bigger?
Sorry about your tires. I'm very close too , but I have hub spacers and spacers, and it only rubs on dips with passengers.

I wouldn't think there'd be any issues at all with a 7" wide wheel at 38+. That's what I had, just in 15".
The shop that did mounting rolled the fenders, but after looking at some pics on here I'm not sure they did that thorough of a job of it. The lip doesn't looked to be rolled up as flat as what a lot of you guys have and that edge is what hit the sidewall. One side just scuffed the rubber a little, the other sliced long and fairly deep cuts in it and I don't feel that it'd be safe to drive on it more than necessary to get it replaced.
