look at the price. if they are some what expensive, that is a big clue. then see how much they weigh and if they are multi-pice or single, although if they are single piece it does not mean they are bad. offset. usually cheaper brands have no offset options. your more then likely gonna find them in 40+ offset because they are honda offsets(biggest market). check how and what they are made of as this affects the weight and quality of the wheel. forged is good cast is bad. if you want a good first set of wheels i would recommend rota. cheap, good quality and many styles to choose from. they are probably the best replica/ generic brand rims you can get. some popular name brand's are volk racing/ rays engineering, ssr(speed star racing),rh (racing hart), bbs, enkei. racing hart and enkei do make cheaper 1 piece cast rims and more expensive multipiece forged rims, too. i would avoid adr, giovanna, motegi's just to name a few. like i said b4, rota is highly recommended. they have just the right amount of style, performance and bang for the buck!

Good to know. This is my first time buying rims, so I just wanted to be sure I get something that is recommended by people. I don't want to buy a brand that is know to be bad and have it fall apart on me and have to rebuy. Thnax again for all the help and info.

post all the wheel you like, then members here will give you opinion. in the end its still your decision, at least you'll have the idea.

True. Though I know what I want and I am looking within the recommended brands to see if they have what I want. Speaking of which if anybody knows where I can get an all glossy black rim let me know. I have seen some that have a silver/chrome lip and I don't want that. Thanx

FYI, we offer wheels from 24 different manufacturers and all of them are either brand name or well known Tire Rack brands. For guaranteed trouble free/rub free fitments, please visit our site at:

cheaper no name brands tend to bend or crack easier than better branded wheels. of course all wheels will bend (or crack) if hit hard enough. These are brands I commonly stick with because of their reputation for quality.

In no particular order...
Japanese:
5 zigen
rays engineering (volk racing, gram lights, g games, etc)
work
hart (racing hart, lowenhart. but not their RH Evolution line)
ssr

European:
BBS
OZ Racing
Borbet

American:
HRE
Kinesis
