you will get better wear if you do 40 psi.

i have worked in a tire shop for 2 years, i promis it will not go bald in the center if you run 40. the only reason 35 is recomended is for a softer ride. iv seen people use more then 40 with out a problem, iv also seen people use alot less then 35 with out a problem. a mazda miada that comes stock with 215/40/17 calls for 28 psi on the door frame!

i promis you will get better wear if you run 40 psi, its not much but youll get a few k miles more out of them. also you should rotate them at least every 6k. then again it depends on how you drive, if you floor it evey place you go and hang corners at 35+......... well then it doesnt matter what you do you tires will be trash it no time at all.

ok. i've worked around/with cars for years.

and i've seen both in the shop and on my own and my friends cars the different types of wear. and people that have bald stripes down the middle have way too high of air pressure.

i agree, but 40 psi is not to high.
but im not going to argue.

my advice is to just go to the local tire shop and run whatever thay tell you. that would me my best advice!
