Default Wheel Spacers for 40mm offset on 15x6.5 rims for the front?

I saw these on Ebay and was interested if anyone has used them yet on their xB and if the 8mm would still allow the enough threads to use the stock lugs. I have been wanting to order a set of 5mm from OTG but they don't seem to have them in stock anytime that I've looked.

Here's the link:

Thanks for any help you might have!

I know there is a HUGE price difference, but safety shouldn't wear a price tag. Check out the spacers and shims from OTG. http://www.onetongarage.com. If you get the spacers make sure to get longer lug nuts to match the width of the spacer.

If you want 5mm, go H&R (they come with extended lugs). If you want 10mm, go OTG and get a set of lugs from a '97 Land Cruiser. Spacers are risky enough without going the cheap route.

What do you guys mean longer lugs? No one has ever mentioned that before. Does someone mind explaining? Thanks!

I'm sorry, I mentioned longer lugs, but I meant to say longer studs. I actually am running longer lug nuts, but only because my wheels don't leave much clearance for the stock lug nuts. If you install spacers behind your wheels, you need longer studs so that your lugs will be fastened on a safe amount of threads. If you get 5mm spacers, you might be alright keeping your stock studs (depending on the thickness of your wheels), but it is not a bad idea to get studs that are at least 5mm longer. I told homeboy to get Land Cruiser studs in the rear if he was going with 10mm spacers because the Cruiser studs are about 10mm longer than the stock studs in the rear. Sorry for the confusion.

WVxB --

are you planning to move the front tires out ? or the rear?

if the front, then yea, thats what you'll have to do - i have a set similar that i used with some wheels that wouldnt clear my brake caliper -- there is enough room to use them, but i felt shaky keeping them on for the long run, you do run out of 8mm of thread (it also depends on the depth of the mounting holes on the wheels, as mine were shallow and didnt help the already slim number of threads)

for the rear though, you're better and more safer option is the hub spacers, since they come with stronger bolts

Thank you all for the quick replys.

The original queestion was asked because I ordered a set of 15x6.5 rims with a 40mm offset and from reading alot of post on rims and spacing I have already ordered the 10mm rear hub spacers from PrecisionMuffler early on this month as they were recommended for the rear to keep the wheels away from the shock boots. Most of the post said the front would fit fine, but I also like a little safety factor too.
I wasn't really worried about the price, it was the lack of availability from OTG on their 5mm spacers and these spacers looked as close to theirs in their construction and design, that's all I was looking for was something similar without being too cheaply made. If the fronts will fit fine without thye spacers then I won't have a problem not getting the spacers, with all the post I read it was hard to tell if I needed them or not.

So thanks again for the prompt responses and any more info you might have!

You will be fine up front. It's only 2mm different than the stock wheels (which are +3. The only reason to run spacers on a +40 offset wheel is for looks.
