Default Wheels Arrived ~ But Where Is My RS1 ???

Just got the wheels today and tomorrow will have some 215/45/17 Fuzion Tires mounted on them and the wait for delivery continues ........ These are by HP Racing and are a Hyper Silver Finish, size is 17x7 ........ Should look okay with the Hot Lava Paint ?

Thanks ....... I sit here and laugh at all those rims I looked at during the course of time ...... I am crossing my fingers that they look good against the Lava Paint. They seem to match the back tailgate emblems !

*** This may sound stupid but I called the the place where I got these wheels and asked what kind of lug nuts to buy - They told me I could use TUNER LUGS ? My question is are there different lengths of these tuner lugs ?? Or is it basically 1 size fits all, I do know about the thread design .... But unsure of the length.

*** CB ~ I have no clue where my box is ?? Last I heard it was in New York and that was on the 29th !! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THEY WOULD SEND THE BOX TO NEW YORK, DO THEY ASSEMBLE ITEMS THERE ?? I am growing very inpatient !

I did some research and made some calls on those new Fuzions, I am impressed by the quality and also the pricing / have not heard that anyone has them yet ? I guess there will be a first ......

Nut Size
M12x1.5

You'll want the ones that are conical at the bottom to be "self centering" You can get them from AutoZone etc... Pretty cheap. I almost bought a set from the place that mounted my tires and I almost paid 3x's as much as Autozone, so beware

Thanks Jeer ~

1.5 is the length ? I am going to get some of those weird shaped Tuner Nuts and have the tops Powder Coated to match the paint on the car, should offset nicely.

Did you by chance call the Dealer that I gave you the number for ?

I was looking at the same wheels from wheelguyz.com. They had them for a great price. I wasn't sure either how they would look with the Hot Lava paint. Post pics when you get yours. I ordered my Hot Lava on the 1st of March and didn't get it until the 31st. Hang in there, it will be worth the wait.

thise are gonna look so sweet. I luv how the spokes go all the way to the edge. Only way to go when going multi piece, or even multi piece look ;)

Im not sure but i recall the offset on those wheels being really high. If that is indeed the case, you will most likely need a thin spacer to clear the front brakes. It ll be close regardless. If its anything above 40+ which im almosy sure it is, I d get a 5mm spacer for the front and maybe 10 or 15mm for the rear.

Good choice though

Update - after the Dealer mounted the wheels, the fronts looked good, more than enough clearence around the caliber - it would not even be an issue rubbing, they seemed pretty darn flush with the body, maybe just a hair past.

The backs seemed set back into the wheel well more, the dealer is going to add a spacer in the back to kinda get it as close to flush as possible. Plenty of clearence in the back as well.

HOWEVER THERE IS A PROBLEM - I noticed I am not he only one, I know CB had this issue in the front wheel wells, when you turn the wheel the tire catches on that piece of plastic on the inside if the well, closest to drivers side ..... I will have to take a small knife and cut out that plastic piece, not sure if it will hit the back of the well when driving .... Will take some pics soon as it still sits at the dealer.

Rim size 17x7 with 215/45/17's ...... I think if I would have went with the 215/40/17's it would not have rubbed, only rubs when wheels are turned.

stick with the 215/45r tires.
after installing some GoldLines, they fill the gaps and don't rub At All ..

BTW: Wheels look good.
