Default why are the 19s so much more than the 18s??

online you can buy the trd 18s for 1599
online you can buy the trd 19s for 2495

how is 1 inch more almost 900 dollars more, i know the tires are bigger so that goes into the cost but i still cant see why the 19s are so damn expensive

it's because TRD likes money and knows that people will pay for the TRD name.

The 19" wheels are RH Evolution GEO J5 wheels made only for TRD they are a little different than the aftremartet RH Evolution J5
If you bought the J5 aftermarket they sell online for $513.00 per wheel the Pirelli 225/35/19 sell for $224.00 at tire rack Total $2948.00 plus shipping

$2495.00 sounds expensive and it is , but for the type of wheel and tire you are getting it is not a bad buy.

The 18" pkg. for $1599.00 wheels are made by BBS they are good wheels but not in the same class as Racing Hart RH Evolution wheels

There are a lot of other options out there in a 19" for less money, but the quality is not the same, there is a difference We stock less expensive sets but but the finish and balance are nowhere near the quality of the RH Evolution . It all depends on what you want to have on your car.
If you want one of the best this is not a bad buy compare them with a equal quality set .

Well if they liked them, that is all that matters. just wondering if these wheels are forged or something?

Do the TRD 19's rub with the lowering springs?

I've got the lowering springs, and the stock 17's...from the looks of the wheel well gap, I think it will be a tight fit for 18's.. . .let alone 19's!

I've heard the springs will settle about another 1/4 or 1/2 inch after a couple months. If thats the case, then I seriously doubt it. . .

But it would be nice to have the 19's!

When you get a bigger size rim the tires sidewall is less. So basically a 19 inch rim and tire is actually the same exact diameter as a 17 inch rim and tire if you have the right tires mounted to them. You are basically getting more rim and less tire. The rims and tires are the exact same diameter granted you use the right size tire. If they werent then your speedometer and odometer would be off. So 19s should fit with the trd springs. However I would just go with 18s they dont dent as easy, the ride should be better due to more tire sidewall, and the tires are hella cheaper.
