Default widest tire on 15x7's... also +35 offset enough?

I just bought some Buddy Club P1 Racing II wheels in 15x7 in a +35 offset.
1st off i have 5 days before the order is even sent out.
i asked if they had anything more - then 40 offset, they said they had +35 so i jumped at it, but i didnt ask if they had any +30 or so..
should i go more -?
the xB is just lowered on the Hotchkis suspension with there sway bars.
i dont plan to change the springs for anything else, i will add new struts though..
could i run a +30 on all 4 easy with no worrys at all?
i dont also want to run any shims or spacers, well cant afford it right now.

with all that said whats some of the widest tires you guys are running on your box's running a 7in wide wheel.
on my datsun i have a spare set of 15x6.5's that i have a 235 drag radial on, its flared out but it works great, so im sure i can run atleast a 235 if not a 245..
but will that even work with a +35 offset?

if i stay with my +35 offset could i run a 225 on my lowered box without problems?

thanks!

mike

225 may fit if you don't oversize the aspect ratio.

I would not go wider than 215 on a 7 wheel.

I also vote for the 215's I believe they are as wide as you can go with 7".

225s should work, but may rub the struts on hard cornering. That shouldn't damage the tire, though. It will probably rub in the rear if you don't get the OTG spacers, otherwise you should get 10mm less offset (25mm) for the rear wheels.

I believe the 225/50-15 is about the same diameter as stock, so if you ran 225/45 or less, you should have less problems. You would be better off with 6.5" wide wheels and 225/50 tires since that would reduce the section width for more clearance.

It's risky, but the only way to know for sure is to try it (and then post it here so we all know!)

Sorry to bring back alive an old topic, but I just purchased my box last week and looking for some wheels.

I have a lead on some ultra light panasport wheels in 15" x 7" in 35mm offset

I'm with the original poster of this thread and want the widest possible tire. I could care less if the tires are "square" to the rim. My box already has a set of 17" wheels with 205's and it looks like you can almost squeeze 245's under there. What is the widest anyone has been running 15" wheels? and what offset should I space the wheels to?

I plan to lower the car on eibachs or tein S-techs, with whiteline sway.

also, I should mention that I have a fender roller so that will help.

thanks,
Allen
