Default Will I Rub?

Let me start by saying if this has been covered before I am sorry. I did a search and wasnt able to find the answer. Here is my question; Will 215 40 18's mounted on 18x8" wheels with a 42 offset rub and or fit, on my xB? My car is sittin on a set of Tanabe springs. That is about a 2.25" drop. I ask because I just bought the tires and am plannin on mountin em tomorrow morn. Please help me out.

wow with over 2" drop...
i believe it is going to rub...
i know that with 42offset 215/40/18 is cutting it close, especially the rear

you might want to go with 215/35/18 that is the recommended size..
however if you do go with your original size, please let us know if it rubs or not...because i kinda want to go with 18's with 40 sidewall with 1" drop =)

it should be okay...actually 215/40 is closer to stock than 215/35....

scionara (roger) got 18x7.5 43 offset with 5mm spacer and running 225/40 in the back...no problem at all....pm him for more details

worst case:
sometimes the cars with same setup will come out different...
even if you rub, theres a little plastic piece on the wheel well that u can trim it off...
really easy....

i run 18x7.5 with 45mm offset and it was super close in the back...so i put a 5mm spacer.....now he said 18x8 with 42mm offset....wont fit....u will have to run a spacer in the rear....the front will work lucky for you....u need these for the rear tires http://www.optionimports.com/30245414.html .....i just ordered those exact spacers for myself for the back, even with the 5mm spacer in the back the 45mm offset 18x7.5 rim is to close in the back for comfort....not to mention the 15mm spacer should about even up the front and rear tires....any other help needed just ask...
