Yes i agree with BBoxd! Get the right size offset and width versus the "ill just add spacers to make it flush to the fenders". ive gone with 2 sets of wheels so far and im happy with what ive got, definately worth the wait. if the money is an issue, there are wheels that you can get from any size width offset thats not too big on the pocket.

My wheels specs are:
17x8.5+25 A Disc Front
17x8.5+20 O Disc Rear

will there be any problems if i get the tein S-tech springs??? Thinking about going with bboxDz settings 17x8.5 Euroline DH. Will it look too high or funny looking??

 

The gap will be apparant, but it still will look way better than stock on just the s-techs. You will also neeed to roll or trim the fenders with that size, most likely. The thing is, to get a better look, you really need to go to at least 3, 3.5, or even a 4 " drop, but then fender rolling, trimming, camber shims will be in order.

 

there are picks in the galler at auto rnd, including some of bBoxd's on equips!, also , look at bBoxd's pictorial in the lounge...he had 17"s in black before he got the 18"s, and his drop was more than 2", so the gap will look bigger than in those pics with the s-techs. What you will get is a uniform gap instead of a huge space, but thing definitely look better when it's even lower than the 2 ". On the plus side, daily driveablity might be better...but I still have to watch out for stuff on the s-techs.

Consider the s-techs a start to where, in the future, you can get coils or air to drop it even further! Or srings that will lower things even more!!!!!!!!!!!11

 

It will look really really funny. You will not be happy at all with the look with just Tein Stechs. You will look at it and know something is lacking. The gap will look even bigger especially with a wheel with a bigger lip like that. You will definately eventually need to get coilovers or air. OR you can be ghetto and cut a coil or two off of your Stechs until you can save up to get some coilovers or air. I've heard those things dont ride that bad when theyre cut.

Pulling off the "look" is not only in the wheels. Its in the overall stance. So getting low to about 3.5"-4" is ideal and maybe some OTG Camber shims. IMHO this is a really good setup that looks and works great, even for daily driving. This is the setup i worked with on Herb's xA.

what are a dics and o discs you guys are talking about?

 

the "disc" is the face of the wheel. Different letters signify the thickness of the face. "a" is the standard face and will usually fit over brake calipers pretty well. "o" is a little thinner and flatter and barely clear a brake caliper. there are super low discs as well that begin to bow out the other way and need spacers to clear the brakes sometimes.
