I hate these tires too. I plan to get new tires when I get my rims.

 

I have the Yokohams on mine....they aren't F1 caliber but they seem to be ok. Better than the Potenzas from what it sounds like.

 

first of all i justed to say wuts up to every1! this is my first post on the site. anyway...i drove my tc on the potenzas from st.louis missouri to springfield missouri for the S3 show while its was pouring rain without any problems with traction or handling at all. mines an 06 tc, are the tires different from 05's and 06's?

 

I got some nice tires, I don't know about you, but mine grip up very well on the road. YOKOHAMA 215/40/zr17s

 

i got new wheels and they put my pirellis pzernero's that came wit my rs on them...do the tread marks need to be pointing a special direction? they point one way on the right side tires and another way on the left side.

 

be grateful they gave you the potenza tires and the turnanza ones which have worse issues. i plan on getting new tires once i get bigger wheels too i'll just run these untill then and when i can afford some better winter tires to put on instead of running these.

 

My stock wheels came with Goodyear tires and they did just fine in rain and snow last winter.
