Yet another offset question - 15x7 wheels.

Yet another offset question - 15x7 wheels.
Ok, ive got an offset issue to deal with (like everyone else on here). Im looking at some rims that are 15x7 and either +15 or +38 offset. Will either offset give me that flush look without rubbing,? Im just looking for a wheel that I can run without modification or adding shims/spacers. What is that perfect offset for the front/rear? If those wouldnt work, how much of a shim/spacer would i need to get it flush?

I cant even think about how many times this has been gone over....
+15 in the front should be perfectly flush from my experience. +15 in the rear should be close to flush but not quite. The advantage would be you shouldnt have to roll your fenders much if at all. +38 will be way in on the front and even farther in on the rear. Go with +15.... ....What rims are you looking at?

the maxxim fourplay's....just considering. Ive got 17's at the moment and just hate how the rear is so sucked in.

Its probably a lot cheaper to space out the rims you have now then to replace them with a different rim for a different offset. Are you running any kind of drop and if so what drop?
#5
those wheel even come in an offset like that?
With a 15 x 7 youll still want to add a 10mm spacer to the rear if you go with a +15 offset.
+15 offset on sportmax 501s sits almost flush and thats an 8 inch wide wheel...

+1 for sportmax
+1 for +15
+38 no way.
I was really tempted to ask if you could explain offset, but I won't.

supposedly they do come in that offset.
As for a drop, im on df210's
What size tire would get me to not rub. I know i would probably need to get a little bit of a stretched look correct?

If you're going to be running the Fourplay +15s, you'd be hard-pressed to have any rubbing issues: I'd just use the stock rubber, then maybe get some 195-205/55/15s.

The wheels I want only come in a +38 offset. What would I need to make them flush all the way around if I am going with a 2" drop?

you can be as tired as you want of these threads, but the tech page doesnt list 15 offset wheels on a 15" rim.

We need a better FAQ. Im sorry. I wasnt trying to be a jerk about it. Im just frustrated for you that there isnt a more complete source of info compiled. Its all good....
#15
its cool, i did look there first and searched....theres 48 pages of offset thread links. Its hard to find exactly what you want in all that.

Ive gone through 6 sets of rims myself and installed more than a dozen other rims on other xBs from personal experience. Thats how I learned what will work and what won't. Some people arent lucky enough have that much experience. Its frustrating to say the least...

it may be true that offsets on 15" rims are not listed. That may be because offset has nothing to do with the diameter of the wheel. once a person understands offset, they understand it, period. there's no more guesswork.
maybe it would have been different if you had just admitted you don't understand, and we could have helped you.
