06 weathertech window vent covers too long!!??!!11 :/
I just bought some weathertech window vent cover things, and also the bug shield.
I got dark color for both. It was 2 bills for everything. It shipped fast, only a few days and it was here.
Everything installed just like the instructions said. I used a bead of silicone (thx redfins for the sealant tip!) on the bug shield edge, 6 screw holes, and when it was mounted I put a bead between the body and the shield too
Now the bad part -
The front window vents edge sheared off on the back edge as I was snapping it into place. It snapped/broke almost exactly the same on both sides, within an 1/8 or less, the broken pieces are almost identical, almost like it was engineered to snap off...
But I don't think they were supposed to break...it wasn't an even break...
anyways - after visual inspection - I decided the breaks were not visible from any angle, so I kept them installed. I haven't notified weathertech yet, that's my next thing to do.
If you buy some window vents and they don't want to go in on the last bit, you may take them back off the car and shave about 1/8 off the trailing edge, then try again.
once on - they look pretty slammin

Weathertech Window Vents
I must have installed my Weathertech vents the same day as you did. I didnt have any breakage of my vents.
They are not as easy to install as the video they have on their website. I do like them. Rolling down all the windows an inch or so in the morning leaves a nice quiet breeze in at 45-50 MPH.
The Weathertech product is very good quality. I purchased the dark model, they look pretty good with the shadow mica paint. Sorry to hear yours broke.

...wing thing....
That tab on the window frame can be moved.
Pull down the rubber window gasket.
Remove the thin blue tape that holds tab in place.
Line up tap to correct location and re-tape.
Install rubber window gasket.
You guys know about E-SAM's visors right?
For two bills you could have had E-SAM's.

the vent things were 100 and the bug shield was 100,,, 2 bills.
The weathertech people called me only a couple of hours after I had emailed them and have offered a free replacement set.
They totally rock. Go weathertech FTW.
