Anyone fabricate a Front End Splitter?
Does anyone know where to get a Front Splitter or possibly figure out how to make one?

Either Lowes or Home Depot carries it but not sure on the sizes. Most glass places carry it too. Make the templet outta cardboard and transfer it over once you decide on the final shape. I made mini splitters for mine once using this method and they worked fine. It will be slightly more difficult tho on such a large piece so take your time when making the pattern. You can use tape to hold it in place when making adjustments. Not sure where to find those adjustable external support things tho. To mount it under the lip use some self drilling 5/16" screws.

I made one out of aluminum and polished it up real nice. It looked great, but dug into a steep drive on the way to NOPI '06 and ripped the whole front lip off. If you make one, make sure it is out of something flexible.......
Good luck!

Still debating what to use in the splitter, nothing too strong. . yet nothing too weak, and how to go about cutting it . . The 1/8" inch aluminum seems too heavy , someone mentioned to me something called black delron never heard of it

You could also try using Masonite (hardboard) with the shiny side up and paint it whatever color you want. It cuts like thin plywood and would give if needbe to road hazzards.

hmm I stuck , I designed the splitter it looks awesome out of cardboard, but I do not have any real tools accept a hand saw and hack saw at home to cut the 1/8 inch plexiglass , Im worrying if I be the piece and ask home depot to cut it they will look at me like im crazy, any suggestions ?

You could always buy your plexi from a glass place and ask if they could cut it out using your cardboard templet and see how much extra if any they would charge. Then you would only have to finish the edges with some 250 grit sandpaper.

sounds like my solution bB2ner, thanks for the advice, theres no shot home depot or lowes would do it for me thought ? I duno if they would,
I was thinking the hardboard masonite because I could cut it , I wonder how it would look, within the next couple of days I will have something.
