I think it has been answered, but here is the answer again. I used Krylon Gloss Black paint. For use on outdoor materials such as wood, plastic etc. It is in a spray paint can.

are the headlights easier to open than the taillights?
i tried to bake my taillights and open them when i wanted to paint them, but i gave up cuz i didnt want to break them and just painted my tails on the outside...
so hopefully the headlights are easier to pry open ?

One person said they used "gloss black" paint. You said you think you used Krylon flat black spray paint but that you'd double check. And that's the most solid answer anyone gave on this thread.

Well, in the main artlicle that I wrote, I specified gloss black paint. I wrote it write after doing the project, so I'm pretty sure that it's the correct answer. Sorry that I can't remember offhand if i used 'flat black' or 'gloss' paint. It's really not that big of a difference anyways.....

I'm just saying, in this thread, no one specified what kind (ie brand) of paint they used for the headlights until I complained. (I'm good at that. :D)

If you're talking about using something like Duplicolor Anodized, I honestly couldn't tell you how well it'll stick.

On the plus side, it's not like people are going to be touching the inside of the headlight assembly, so it probably won't just rub off.

ok so im doing this mod tommorow. im doing this in hoping to reduce the glare from my hid's. do you guys think i should use a flat black, or a gloss black. i figured flat would better reduce the reflection of light, but the gloss would look better, what do you all think?

gloss. you prob won't reduce noticeable glare from this, as this is on the nonreflective parts of the housing. unless you're planning on painting the reflective parts too ...
