if some paint ran off, or there was some overspray on the reflective part, is there a way to take it off?

Okay, so this question mainly has to do with the oven-bake method in general. Are you able to use this method with PROJECTOR headlights??? I bought mine used, and they were poorly sealed. Now the inside of the lens is really dirty and it just looks terrible. Not nice and clean/clear like it should. I just want to be able to take the lens off to clean the inside then re-seal them.

I've never left them in that long. When I bake headlights, I check them every few minutes. You want the plastic housing to become flexible, but not too soft.

Also, remember to remove the bulbs and the rubber cap on the back of the headlight.

Yea, I think I've had success pulling the lenses in the 10-15 minute range. I've baked three or four sets of headlights and that's really all it needs.

225 degrees at 5 minutes is all it should take, preheated. I've NEVER needed to heat them for longer then that. When resealing, same thing I put the lens back onto the housing and gently push them together, stick into preheated oven for 5 minutes and take them out and squeeze them together, pop seal clips on and your are good to go.
