Can we please stop with the photos of lightbulbs?

Photos are not a reliable indication of brightness. I can make the dimmest light look bright as the freaking sun if I leave the shutter open long enough. A five second exposure of the stock dome light will make it look absolutely blinding.

but i have the reverse lights right beside the taillights for comparison. you can see how bright they are compared to those.

yup. but the point is, they light up 10x as good as the stock. i noticed it the first time i backed out of the carport at night. normally, i couldn't see squat with the stock lights, but with these EVERYTHING was lit up. plus not to mention...no yellow looks 245325425243 times cleaner.

Hey Bassist,

Sounds like you found what I'm looking for. Can you give us a part number or a better technical description of the bulb? My WalMart doesn't seem to carry anything like this.

Thanks!

just look in the section with all the light bulbs and fuses. i found mine there. it was in a gray package, the bulbs were blue. idk what the numbers for the scion are, but my car took a 3157. just look around in that section for a xenon bulb. you should be able to find it. also, if it's not at your local wal-mart, check advance, autozone, pep boys, o'reilly, whatever's around you. just ask em for a xenon bulb in whatever size you need.
