there's a thread on here telling you how to post a pic...

You need to get an image hosting account from somewhere like www.photobucket.com There's a bunch of free ones out there.

Upload the photo to your account, then copy and paste the image address to your post.

easy as pie! :D

if you click on the link, to the right you will see 4 things that say different things. You want to click on the "image code". Then paste it into your post then it will look like this:

and this:

you have to put at the end of it to make it show up properly

for the future, you might want to reduce the size of the pic so that people dont have to scroll right to see the whole thing, or read further posts. People get pretty ticked about it and it is pretty annoying.
You can probably reduce it to about 640 pixels wide, and it should still be large enough to have good detail.

looks okay. i hate to say it, but it does look cheap. However, from far away or when people drive by, I'm sure no one will ever notice!

Looks fine. Try buffing them to get more gloss tho. Have you thought about misting them with BOP to make them blend in?

That's strange how big the pic stayed. When I photbucket mine they get sized down and fit perfectly on the SL pages.

an easier site to post pics is www.tinypic.com but you'd have to resize your pic before you post it there.

taillights look good!

hey ro each there own right, who cares if it looks like ___...i think he would have got better results by baking them in the oven and then spraying the lens from the inside. Also hobby paint is the best to use...

You should consider taking the tails apart and spraying the inside instead.

Nah, by doing them on the outside it's easier to remove when you want to go back to stock. The spray paint just wipes off with carb cleaner.

Yea but it looks so much better if you paint the insides.
Stock tails are cheap these days.

Carb cleaner, eh? The first set I sprayed on the outside and I'm interested in smoking them... so it should remove the spray?

Here are the ones I did on the outside.

And the ones on the inside.

The clarity and gloss is way better if you paint the inside.

Yes, carb cleaner or 90% rubbing alcohol will remove whatever rattle can paint you applied to the outside. Try alcohol first then the CC. Follow up with some plastic polish and wax.

It works sort of but is a biscut to go around corners and keep it flat.

Whoa! Damn Jeff, that's a hell of a tip. It works incredibly well. One's done and the other is in process.
I find if you soak a piece of paper towel in the alcohol and drape it over the light, let it sit for a few minutes and the paint just comes off in sheets. Now I'll have a set to smoke!

Just remember that any paint out of a spray can can be removed. It's not the same as real auto paint and it doesn't have any hardener in it. Glad it worked for you Ian.
