Default Cost of Installation of Lambo Doors?

I'm getting Lambo doors put on my 2005 Scion xB next week. I asked the installer how much it was going to cost for installation and he told me that he let's the customer pay him how much they think it costs.
So my question is how much is the right amount to pay the guy? He's installing the hinges on the 2 front doors.

Any idea would really help. thanks....

$100 to start... then go up in 15$ incraments.
seriously though, it's a big job and it involves removing both doors and fenders, it really takes 2 people to do it right, and get the fitment 100% perfect. if he does a 100% perfect job the first time, i would expect to pay 500 or more

At shop labor rates of $50 or more per hour I would suggest that $500 would be near the minimum bill to pay.

U DO NOT remove the doors when installing a lambo kit. U remove bumper, fenders, and side skirts. trust me Ive done plenty.

If you supplied the hinge kit and are paying him just the labor I say about 200 bucks per door is a fair price. Kinda surprised he didn't quote you something ahead of time tho???

Man it took over forty hours of fabrication to do a GT factory weld on kit that I don't have to Lambo it every time I get in and out I can also go about 65 mph with the doors up it also set me back $2800 with hinges

I've been playing with idea of Lambo doors. I just haven't convinced myself that they belong on a Box

hawgs74 - so when you do the install, do you mount up the kit with the doors attached to the hinges, then unbolt the hinges once everything is mounted up? just curious... i have never done a set, but was thinking about doing mine. everyone i know removed the doors and has someone hold then while getting the fitmentb down and installing the air ram. please let me know, cuz i am sure if you do them a lot, you know better then me.....

U remove the hinges with the door on so that you keep the factory alignment. I use masking tape. Then just bolt the VD kit to the frame then to the door. My tC required me to trim a little of the fender to clear the bolts.
Not sure if this is an issue with the xB's. Extend the wires to the door and ur done. Then its just a matter of adjusting the alignment screws to get it to close how u want it.

Pay him in beer...

Seriously though, unless it's a good friend, 200 a door seems appropriate.

You pay him nothing and return the lambo hinges. Scion does not =/= Lamborghini.
