Well I was thinking of maybe having all the letters touching, If you look at the image the letters are designed to almost touch anyway, so if you extend lines it could work as a solid piece...

my bad. round prob no bigger than 3inches, I am looking at using them on my centercaps for my wheels. I would love to see if we could figure out how to make some to replace the AC controls.
