Do REAR FENDER SKIRTS exist for xB???/
Or do I have to make them myself?
??? help please with advice and pointers.
I run under-stock diameter tires on stock steel wheels. The dreaded wheel gap
affects this RS2 badly. To close the gap I figure It would be best to close off that ugly black well...
but how?
Down to the rocker panel level, I think. lexan? heat formed?
Insight gives a near idea what I am after:

err.. for that to work on an xb.. umm..
well, that Damd one is nice looking but i still don't care for the skirts.. maybe you should photoshop some on to your box first, can mess around with different styles that way too..

The protruding wheel wells throw the look off. To do it right, I'd add some side cladding from front fender to rear, basically smoothing them so they're flush, then bring the wheel skirts down to the tops of the side skirts, maybe a little more. It would look smoother like the Insight. In fact, if you look at that picture of the DAMD kit, just fill in the white-ish reflected area at the bottoms of the doors
Like if you filled the area between the paint line and the side skirts on this one here: (of course you ain't gonna skirt those cambered beauties...)

#1: thanks to all you guys for the quick helps!
#2: I agree: that thing above is not good or -deep enough-.. it doesn't tie into any body line.
#3: If i try this the -skirt will not have to bulb outwards because the stock wheel appears fully tucked into the well-line.
#4: With the Goodyear F1 tires, size 195/50/15, the wheel gap is so huge that no amount of lowering (I can go 3 inches down in the rear) will really fix the problem.
#5: I black-outed the rear wells the other day and this helps. But dang! The rather small diameter tires look like furniture casters inside those mamoth caves.
#6: The insight has pretty flat skirts. I can't integrate to that degree, but mine would look closer to insight than to that fukadoodle JDM bodykit mishap.
#7: It will make people think I've got a HYBRID
#8: Fender skirts have a long history in Detroit and esp, in Kustom cars of the '50's. You could get skirts from JC Whitney, in 1957, custom designed for many Detroit autos. Cheap and cheesey, too.
Only a Sciontist would know my proposed skirts are home brewed. Just a matter of will I get off my duff to engineer something out of thin acrylic, using heat and cement to fabricate... and paint to match body color, for sure.
