was thinking of getting the veilside kit for my bb...anyone got one? any comments?

i think i've heard that the veilside kit doesn't fit on our cars - at least not the jdm one - the rear bumper section is all wrong on our cars, it would take an insane amount of work to make it fit.

but as with everything, i could be totally on crack and be 100% wrong about that ;)

 

The current Veilside kit is only for the first gen Toyota bB...the one with the license plate on the rear bumper.

So unless you have a love for mass amounts of bondo...i'd stay far far away.

 

the scionfx.com xb has it. it does have to be modified to fit the xb. they have one for sale on scionfx.com you should contact them and see what they did to modify the kit. i saw it at the last cerritos eet and it looks freakin awesome.

Last time I checked..Steve (bBist) had a couple.
All the kits they have needs modifications (Vert, Veilside, Kenstyle)

If you have seen bBist xB that is a VERT kit that was modified to fit the xB .....
The shop who did Steve's work does awesome work..PM bBist he might have something for you.

But then again there is the bBist full carbon fiber kit that he makes....fits exactly like stock but gives the car a more aggressive look.

before the thanksgiving weekend i saw a white xB w/ bodykit on 680 in milpitas...
i was trying to catch up, but i got stuck in traffic
i cant see what kind of kit was that....

was that one of you TSW members???

Scion FX has one heavily modified to fit their xB the JDM one comes with a cutout for license plate, they don't have the plate on the rear hatch, so that hole has to be filled in and fibergalssed prior to installation, along w/ all of the other fitment issues.

 

It also has to be cut in the corners and stretched an inch to fit, luckily the veilside is great quality so the fiberglassing looks clean as hell.
