last time I linked something Ebay they moved it to "Off Topic"... Do a search. They are the same ones everyone else is selling, the ones with 3 LED's and no eyebrows. Must be economies of scale.

yeah but some projecotors a poorly made.. turns out the sellers wont give you the name of them so you might have a cheap brand that fogs up or the halos falls off..

There is only one company that makes the dual halos, Helix. Those are the ones that people rave about and that fog up and the halos fall apart. I ordered a set when I saw this thread for $112. I plan on disassembling them, re-gluing the parts (if necessary), and sealing them up. If they suck, oh well, I paid about 1/2 or 1/3 of what other people have paid.

They are no good. I emailed them and asked about the warranty and everything and told them of some of the stories I have heard about leaking. I just asked if theirs is going to leak and what sort of warranty they offer and they emailed me back saying that they have realized that the product was faulty and are going to be removing them from Ebay.

Are they going to improve them and re-release them in the future?

They didn't say. I am in the process of emailing them and trying to find out some more information. I'll let you know if I find anything else out.

Vertex Racing is an eBay store. All of those eBay halos are just vendors of Helix. Helix doesn't sell directly, that's why you can only find their products through their vendors (most of which are on eBay).

they aren't the "best" but they are easy to open up and make a better seal - the halo lens's can also be glued in a little better when the lens cover is off.

I bought a set of these and have had numerous problems.

The first set I got had mismatched halos, one side was white and the other side was purple. The next set I got after sending the first set back, had scratches all over the inside of the lens cover.

Now I'm on the 3rd set and the LEDs in the halos sometimes don't come on and the fitment has been pretty bad on all 3 sets.

The driver's side low beams aim up and the passenger side aim down. I've tried swapping bulbs, but it does the same thing. There must be a problem with the projector lens itself.

To those of you that have opened them up, how did you do it and what is the best way to reseal them?

I got a set of these on eBay for around $100 bucks. They needed a little cutting on the edges to fit like stock, but overall not too bad. They seem to be sealed pretty decent. I asked about fog and water seeping in and the guy said they hadn't had much problem with this batch. The quality is better than what I expected for the price. I figured I do have to reseal them, it is still worth it. And they aren't that hard to install after you do it once.

Here are some pics:

I'm not saying buying from this guy isn't a risk, but he also has 2200 +feedbacks. I searched though the last 500 feedbacks the guy received and there was only 1 negative about the headlights. Most of the negatives were about billet truck grills and crappy air intakes (people should be able to tell by the pics the air intakes are crap).

I don't know this guy, but the lights I got were in perfect shape and arrived quickly. He emailed back on all my questions and said he hasn't had any complaints about the lights leaking or fogging. He also said that he is an xb owner.

or.. maybe I just got lucky...
either way, worth the chance...
