got 3 or 4 months to kill while waiting for your "Nish" eyelids? cuz you'll need it. Of course you'll get the obligatory "they're going in the mail right away!" every 3 days....

hand made, high quality parts are very hard to come by, nish at www.nish-designs.com is one of the best at making these products. so what if he takes a few weeks? what kind of shop would give you that quality and take a lesser time? he even makes custom parts if you request... in my opinion nish is one of the best

Nish designs might do good work, but it isn't the only custom fiberglass shop on the planet. Call around and have some made locally.

Eyelids aren't exactly an involved fiberglass project, either. DIY wouldn't be that hard.

WEEKS? "weeks" would be 'ok'. It took MONTHS. Even that might be 'ok' if I didn't still have about 15 e-mails still in my inbox all saying basically the same thing "I got'em going out right away...", "they're done, you'll have them this week", "they're done, you want them painted?", "lost your address", etc etc etc ... then 5 weeks later...

And as far as
what kind of shop would give you that quality and take a lesser time?
.... ummm... well lets see... I made a handful of sets and gave them away for FREE to locals. Weel, each set took me maybe an HOUR? maybe two for a few of the more custom shaped versions. I sure as heck aint heard anyone complain about qaulity. I don't know - ask "Dansthunder", he got the last set, that set looks almost identical to the 'nish' pattern. See what he thinks about the whole hour I put into them.

To anyone who can work with 'glass, making eyelids is "Fiberglassing 101" stuff. (and as far as 'if you can do 'glass so well then, then why did you use Nish!?!!!' - because I have an assload of work everyday to do and throwing someone a lousy $100 to save me the headache is worth it - unless I then have to chase down the job for 3 months...).

There are lots of people out there making these things - if you aren't going to do it yourself, at least buy from someone who will do the work for you without having to be threatened to get the job done.

Thats if you can even get him to return emails so you can buy something from him. Not a very good business practice.

I second that. I've been searching for a one-piece eyelid for the dual projectors for a while. I thought I had one from Nish, but he quit responding to emails.

Make your own. Just whip out the masking tape and go to town. FG isn't that hard or expensive to play around with.

I agree making your own is not difficulat. Its a nice small project for someone who hasn't worked with fiberglass before. You could make your own eyelids for about $25.(not painted) if you used resin and a small packet of fiberglass mat from HomeDepot.

If someone wants info on how to do the project pm me.
