when running HIDs, is it brighter to run it on the stock housings or projectors.? there been talk about it. does projectors really limit the amout of lighting that comes out due to the limited space in the projectors, and the cut off piece blocking some light?

well unfortunatly there is no real easy answer, running HID in our stock housings you will run into alot glare issues primary due to the housings designed for halogen applications, the reflector and the "cut-off" is designed for halogens, HID will dispurse the light in a different manner.
Light will bounce off all the angles in our stock housings and create glare, thats why typically you will find HID in Projectors They have a smooth relfector and sharper "cut-off" shield. in essence a projector will "tame" the light and focus it, vs the stock housing, If you want to retain the stock housing its best to smooth out the angles and change the center "cap" which is the cut off. you will lose alot off usable light if you dont.
