hmmmm How are xB projectors garbage? have you compared them side by side? Stock housing to Sonar? I have... and I can re assure you that I have better lumen output then my Mercedes with stock HID 4300 K. So that should answer questions about XB projectors being Junk, and about 12000 K. And whats wrong with the color? I can actually see better with them then when I had 4000 K or 6000K. the tint from the light will light up the reflectors a nice pretty bluish purple, along with the road.

you can't compare stock 4300 k on a mercedes to scion aftermarket projectors.

why are projectors for scion garbage? cause theyre not true projectors.

and the lumens are hard to tell by looking at it with a naked eye. and it depends on the ballast and many other factors.

mercedes are not the best pillar to judge against

you cannot see better with 12k. there is less lumens in 12k than with 6000k.

plain and simple that is a fact.

have fun in the rain with blue/purple.

define "True Projectors"

i "will" get one of my box buddy to sit his box next to mine with HIDs and i will take pictures. Comparing projectors to stock housings.

i say there's no difference. projectors just has a cut off point and has more of a direct focus. unlike stock housing just shines everywhere, that's why unlike the sonar projectors (not dual projectors), oem housings doesn't have side to side adjustment. just up and down. there is no one better or worse. just your preference in style and opinions.

but yes i do notice the difference in rain with my 10k compared to a BMW 6k next to me.

I was driving in a friends box modded with projectors and HIDs and didnt like the cut off.....it really limited how far you are able to see down the road when compared to my stockers w/ upgraded bulbs (Nighthawk).

Personally, I would rather be able to see more of the road ahead of me then to see the road directly in front of me really really white!

Just my two cents.

maybe your friends one wasn't adjusted properly. really, i see people out there who buys after market projectors and don't adjust them at all, not just xbs i mean trucks and other cars especially hondas. they just slap it on and that's it. one shining up into the sky while the other is pointing down at the ground. whats the point of putting adjustment ***** if they no gonna use it. cut off point is so that it doesn't shine all over the place and blind people. oem housing has a cut off point too. just not as flat and noticeable as projectors, they also have adjustment ***** just up and down. there is no need for left or right. like i said projectors are more of a direct lighting while oem are scattered.

i like my projector cuzz i can get distance without blinding people. try that with stock housing.

everybody just calm down, personally i like the projectors, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and some people just arent worth arguing with because you will never change their minds

You guys are takin it to a whole new level with th fogs, looks really good. I should done yellow hid's in the fogs back when I had more money and wasnt married lol.

Heres my pics...

the cutoff is pretty good, the pattern on the ground is kinda crappy though. 6000k

i recently bought the twin projector head lights and think i wasted my money. they're still in the box. i installed them but the cut off point was like way too high, but the pattern was good. so their like practically brand new but useless cuzz they can't be adjusted.. lolz.

hey Buebie, how you like yours?

I love them. They are adjustable also. These are the Helix brand though, not the knock off's. They are awful with halogen. Thats the only reason I upgraded to hod lol, I couldnt see at night.

If I had it to do over again though, I probably would have sent the stock housing to one of the mods on HIDPlanet and paid for a retro fit into the stock housing. These tend to get foggy at times. In the winter, 1 drop of moisture stays there till spring because it never fully melts and is fogged until it can evaporate.

^Bro, head to www.hidplanet.com
You will change your mind. Trust me, retro is god, hid bulb kits are trash. Even though thats what I'm running is the trash version. Its still better then halogen.
