Bump, I'd like to know. Are these foglights that you got the OEM knockoffs for around 70 bucks or something? If so, let me know how they work once you get them going.

Is the relay really needed? I will ONLY use my fogs at certain times so would hooking it up to a switch with constant power be such a bad idea?

I was told it could over heat the switch and cause a possible flame

The only thing a relay does is to supply power to your fog lights when "only" your headlights are on, and they then must be on low beam. That way, you can't run your fogs alone, or at the same time as your high beams.

Just run your power wire (with an inline fuse holder of the proper amperage) directly to switched power. Then you can run your fogs anytime you wish, and the fuse will protect you from overload.

well i got pm'ed with the answer to your question so here is what he said:

"had this problem too with the ebay one. the switch they gave is the wrong one. i just bought a switch from autozone and just customed it on one of the blanks. it is easy to do. power to power ground to ground. easy."

you could get this one to work, but you will need to find out which pin is what. i would just say trial and error on it.
