Default Full Carbon Fiber Roof.. + few questions on some other parts

My brand new R.S. 2.0 xB got NAILED by hail the other day and took abit of damage.
It needs a hood, hatch, spoiler, front fenders, and alot of work done to the roof.

I hate seeing or driving it like that, insurance is going to cover it and i see this as away to do a few nice upgrades.

im really not into the whole modding the scion thing, as i spend all my money on my datsun's so i really dont know where to look.

i know ive seen a full carbon fiber roof on a xB (think it was from florida) and i think i found the site but they dont even show anything on it at there website.
anybody else do this? im sure its just a one part overlay (im hoping real carbon).... not sure how they would hold it in place, im guessing adhesive (sp?).

if anybody has any info on this it would be great, im looking to take care of this ASAP as i really cant drive my other cars daily or really on the street.

Hood... not a fan of parts not fitting great... i would love to find something that would fit like OEM..
anybody sells a nice CF hood that fits like oem?
also hatch??

thanks for all your help!

mike

i think cftype.com was the
place that CF overlayed the Turtle Wax xB before.

check out motorFX for the hood/hatch.
looks like it fits like a glove and heard postive
comments about the products.

sorry to hear your shiz story and gluck.

its a yellow scion lowered on hotchkis suspension and steelies with yoko advan tires, custom painted tail lights that i did myself using house of kolor paint and also the stock R.S. 2.0 grille thats in black with yellow pearl.

it now also features dents and it looks sad

wish i could find more info on this CF roof.

it was the All Star xB. Turtle Wax was just one of the many, many sponsors of the vehicle.

and yeah, cftype was the one that made the roof. i would email them.

Isn't that CF roof just an overlay for looks? If your roof was just CF, and you got pelted with hail again- I think you'd go outside and find that, instead of a dented roof, you've got a smashed into pieces one.
Carbon fiber is great, and it doesn't weigh much, but it's really not as hard to crack and break as some people think.

^^ i forgot to mention and correct: the All Star xB was not overlayed... it was indeed a true CF roof. had no problems... until it was involved in a house fire...

dunno how it'll stand against hail... i would say it's fine unless they were bigger than golf *****.
