Default FX1 Headlights on Scion Sport Website

I bought a set of these light but before I did, I asked "them" several questions about fitment and hookup, they stated ( and I have the e-mails saved ) that they were "plug and play " except for the small "driving light or accent light " it would need to be wired in for use...so.. I purchased a set..So now on to the install party that the Tulsa Scikotics had, the light are NOT plug and play..I REPEAT NOT PLUG AND PLAY ! you will have to cut off your stock blinker/parking light plug and splice/solider the one that comes with the FX1 lights, the stock light plug will not fit the new lights, plus we also had to "trim" the FX1 plugs to get them to fit correctly in the light housing so the gasket would seal and not let moisture in. I contaced Scion Sport about these problems and they insisted that the lights were plug and play..I dont see how they could be as the stock blinker/parkinglight plug is differnt shape and the one that comes with the FX1 lights just have loose terminals on the ends of the wires.

Anyway after some wiring mods ( thanks Vaughn) the lights so far work great and look awesome, the quality is better than any other aftermarket light I have seen !!

I really think that if the quality was "better than any other" you shouldn't have to trim parts and pieces and rewire to get them to work. If they were really quality pieces, the whole thing WOULD BE plug and play.

I agree...but the housings are all metal, you can adjust the beam height..I just think they need to change the claim of "plug and play" on their website and the auctions on Ebay.

You know I like em!!! I've seen these in person and they definately are a higher quality/durability than anything else I've seen offered.

It doesn't take much to be higher quality than any other aftermarkets out there, and these are definitely higher quality. That is, as long as you don't mind some wiring.

Aren't these cool lights? I have had them on my car for a couple months now, no problems what so ever.. I have the trim pieces sittin on my livin room floor painted the same color as the car & about to get installed when it warms up just a bit more to do it.

HID's look good in them too just to let you know..

Looks Good!!!!!

Seems like there would be some glare if you put HID's in these.
Do you have any?

None what so ever. In fact, i don't even know what halogen bulbs look like in these 'cause I have had HID's in them since I installe the new housings. My HID's are so much brighter w/ these new lights compared to the dual projector ones I had.

I guess by plug and play they meant to plug the loose terminals into the connector so that you have an unsealed connection and get the corrosion started right away.
Other than that and the wires color matching but not in the right spot I think they are awesome. I plan on getting a set. Since I know what to look for in the wiring, it's no problem. As far as build quality, I would have to agree they are the best I have seen so far as well. They just need to send a sealed connector for the small marker lights.

the build quality is nice 'cause there isn't any plastic other then the trim housing, which by the way looks 10 times better painted...

I was gonna get some of those. My box is in the body shop right now thanx to two deer. Instead of stock I was gonna use aftermarket to fix it. I didn't because I was worried about quality and PLUG AND PLAY issues. They sure do look hot though.
