You do not really have to remove the glass. Masking is generally adequate...adjust the mirror glass to where it sits when properly adjusted.....then mask it making sure not to have extra masking tape hanging at the edges. When you spray it you must pay attention to direct paint into the gap around the mirror glass. I sprayed my mirrors with basecoats and kandies and got an adequate result with the glass in.

yea.. i didn't paint mine.. i did a different mod, where i had to remove the glass... it's really not that difficult, just preference i guess.... it's just as easy to mask it off as it is to remove the mirror

Well, thank all of you for the info.
I had planned on doing some last minute stuff before a meet tomarrow, but I didn't grab the right tools from work to remove the mirrors.. I was gonna black them out, I just had my tints done today and wanted to complete the look..
and because of the water restrictions here in miami currently (and my wanna bust you neighbors
) I cant wash my car either 
anyways i'll do it all on monday-ish.. thanks again!

oh yea.. you're in miami....
we'll gladly give you some of our rain if ya want it.... it's rained pretty much every day since summer started here in texas
