any issues aiming them? my chrome set was lizzard eyed, so i had to open them up and adjust them internally, was a pain in the a$$... i could get the high beams adjusted preoperly, but still high, and when i had them set, the low beams were lizzard eyed.. then i adjusted the low beams, and the high beams were all cockeyed... after opening them and adjusting them, and re-sealing them they have been cool, but i am wanting to get another set in black for my rs3, and have heard that black ones are aimed better then the chrome ones.

I expected to spend tonite straightening the beams.. however, they seem to be perfectly level with eachother, in both directions.. I do see that they need to be lowered a hair, to avoid getting flashed at, they sit just like the stock ones did (before I adjusted them down). So, after that, i'll let you know..

yup, i have the same ones but in chrome, i got them early on when they first came out, i am guessing the quality is proboibly a tiny bit better now, as far as how they come aimed from the manufac. for me, i like being able to adjust them, but i do use both high and low beams depending on where i drive.. now they are fine, after i opened them and adjusted them internally, now the high and low beams are level with each other in each headlight, when i adjust the right side down for low beam, the high beams are now centered and go lower. mine just were not centered properly from the manufac.

i found mine were aimed just fine from the factory. there diffrent then the factory its wierd. if you are following a car the beam is like 4 feet high on the back of the car but as they get further ahead of you the beam gets wider. i guess that is why they are called " projector" headlights.

umm... okay
I feel you now... got the low beams on, and the highs go nutz
(and vis versa).. the left/right adjuster is a bitc.. to get to
also. My fingers hurt. Think i'll live with the low beams as
good, and the highs as crazy for now..

and they weren't as perfect as I thought seeing them in the dark (the aim).. but I still love the way they look.

They are APC dual beam fogs.. they have a multi colored spotlight as well as a regular white fog.. they only come through in those colors (pictured above) because of the VHT spray on tint under the lenses.

pics look great. one thing i found was instead of trying to turn the adjusters with your fingers... mine got pretty cut up and blistered, get yourself a medium leangth flat screw driver, and go in from them top of the housing, and use the flathead to spin the adjusters via the teeth. makes things a lot easier on the hands!

Its the OEM cover, took a 2" hole saw, drilled out a hole at each end (where I wanted the opening to be), cut straight across the top and bottom of each hole to connect them, then cut out the side of a mesh waste basket, epoxyed it to the inside of the cover, sanded it all smooth with 420 grit paper, and sprayed it with Plastikote bumper black.
