Default Need advice on choosing wheels

A couple weeks ago, I purchased a 2005 XB, and it is in dire need of wheels. So I am looking for suggestions. I don't want to lower it, but want to fill up as much of the wheel well as possible and get the best look I can, so I am thinking of running 18x7.5 wheels. Will these fit without rubbing or need for shims and spacers.

Heres my car, the only difference is now I have 15% tint on it.

and here are some wheels Im looking into.

Rays G-games 77 wolf 18x7.5 +42 offset

Rays G-games Sidewinder 18x7.5 +42 offset

Are these good choices, or does anyone have any other suggestions?
thanks

if you want to fill the wheel gap and not lower it, go 19 or 20... i am a fan of the sidewainder, looks just like an Axis rim..
18x7.5 will fit fine with a +42 offset, i would go 18x8if possible, you shouldn"t have an issue with the +42 offset

I've seen a couple of XBs with 19s or 20's and those wheels just look TOO big. So I would like to stay with 18s. What is a good tire size to go with the wheels?

^ They're both G-Games...

I personally like the Sidewinders. You're not really gonna fill up the wheel well with anything smaller than 19, but 18s look good, you should consider a modest drop though.

Is that best accomplished with Tein S-Techs or Tananbe Springs?

S.Tech is nice... it's about 1.8"

Tanabe DF210s are the lowest springs out there.

If you want a small drop (1") go H.Tech or NF210

18's and coil overs..you can have no gap and even keep a slight tuck for every day..it is what I run...

18s will be fine. An acceptable tire to help fill the gap would be 215/40/18 wich is 1 inch taller than the stock 15" size. Any larger will throw your speedo off. It's a nice way of losing 1/2" of your wheel gap. Nice xB BTW and good luck!

Another question, will running an 18x8 with a +40 offset (Motegi SP10 to be specific) be okay from rubbing and such? I don't want to have to add spacers, roll fenders or anything, just bolt on and go, so will these be okay? and what's a good size so I don't throw off my speedo and odometer too much?

You won't rub. I ran that size stock, with H-techs, and now with S-techs and have not rubbed once.

Your ride looks exactly like how I want mine to look in your profile picture. Did you use spacers at all on the front or backs? And are those H-Techs in your pic?

Those are the H-Techs, and no spacers.

Do you have any pics of your car with the 18s and S-techs?

Not yet in my computer, it's new, and haven't loaded the camera software yet. it is only about half inch lower. took away a little more gap.

not to hijack the thread but to give you an example. My box is on s techs and the monroe echo shocks. I was running 18 x7.5 wheels. I never rubbed . So a 18x8 with a 40 ish offset would fit just fine I would say.

heres a pic of mine when i was running 18's just to give you an example.
