By middle wire, you mean the white/black one, right?

I did it a little different. I only had two taps, so I used those for the +ve's, running them how you did. For the -ve's, I have hundreds of ring terminals, so used those and bolted them down to the front grill supports, right under the airbag sensors (that was kinda nerve wracking, waiting to hear the boom).
Disco'ing the battery isn't a bad idea, but I didn't bother. The lights were off when I did it, so no power anyway.

If you disconnect the -ve's, does everything work normally? How about if you move them to a different spot, like the grill support, like I did?

On the back of the headlight, you should see one or two (mine have two) adjuster *****, silver in color, about a half an inch in diameter, and have a jagged edge, turned inwards. Those are your adjusters. You might get a little bit of adjustment by loosening the mounting screws and moving them around.

ajaya...yes, I meant the black/white ones. LOL on the nerve wraking experience of your...The only thing that would work with the negatives disconnected are the parklights which I believe is because of the circuit continuity it still has...I'll try to place the negatives on some other places and let you know.

Thanks for your time & idea..

I there anyone who can post pics on how they tapped theirs? Thanks!

projector performance is shown by cutoff pictures, not by taking pictures directly at them in action

That's less than I paid for the projectors with the 3 LEDs that I got on my car now. I'm not too happy with them because they fogged up for the first time since I got them almost 6 months ago after I went through a car wash. I'm trying to defog them but I don't want to have to take them out and throw them in the oven. As it turns out I think the black look better than the chrome anyway so it will be a nice change.

These new projectors just look so much better and they also look like the lighting is better. I know the lighting on my current ones are worse than the stock OEMs even with silverstars. Thanks to Max for putting forth the effort and posting all the nice pics, that's one badass xB you got - TCM for teh win!

Can anyone with these lights PLEASE tell me if the output light is actually bluish purple because of the bluish purple lens on the projector? or are they just plain yellowish white like any other headlights?

I do NOT have these headlight; but I do believe that the output is a standard halogen color with a slight purple tint just above the cutoff of the beam. It might create a pretty cool effect on the eyes of oncoming traffic; but I doubt you'll see it on the road much...

But don't quote me on that!

Try to aim the throw. There's an adjustment on them.
You also might want to think about getting HID.

Actually you could go with a cheaper alternative by getting Silverstar bulbs put into the headlamps. They are much more brighter than stock halogen bulbs.

Though you do have the best aftermarket headlamps available for the xB to convert to HID. The Anzo and Helix headlamps' beam pattern does not fair up against Sonar's.

Of course you could always consider a headlamp retrofit... but then again, that's another story and an entirely different price bracket.

Good luck in your journey on finding a better way to light the road.

EasysBox, I originally owned the sonars but got frustrated from the fogging and poor light output, what made it worst was I could not get my h4 hid kit installed, the bulbs just couldnt fit. I am looking to pick up the anzos soon, was just wondering if you had the time to snag a pic of lights lit up whenever you can, thanks a mill
