I put the same tip on my mom's xB. I had the same prob with the bolts so I just took it down to the local muffler shop and had them weld it on for like $5.

Update: Well ... 3 nice big fat "tack welds" and the exhaust tip is on ... nice and sturdy. Would recommend welding it on for added piece of mind. Would post a pic but it looks just like the other pics already posted. The 3A Racing tip looks great on the xB. JB

I have that exact same tip. It goes look great on the xb. Before with just screwing it on...the first one I had fell off! So, the second one I bought I had it spot welded on. Just an idea.

I don't have the same tip but something very similar in size. Well right now it's heating up my bumper lip. I noticed theres a carbon fiber heat shield but I'm not into the carbon fiber. Anyone have any other tips?

Adjust the tip so you have a quarter inch of space or so between the tip and the rear of the box (on all sides). Also, make sure the tip sticks out from under the bottom a little bit, not too far, but enough so the exhaust rises AWAY from the paint !!! My box is polar white and there are no burns or exhaust discolorization at all. Been on there for months - even drove it 500 + miles while on vacation recently.

I lost my first one also. 2nd one kept loosening, kept tightening, bolt stripped so I installed larger bolts and have had no problems since.....

I put a sealant on mine from Day1 (both of them) and use a polish & sealant once a year. No sign of rust yet.....

I like mine clean.... LOL
