Default New HID's for Xb?

Has anyone seen these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-J...spagenameZWDVW

I was either going to go with these or the Anzo's. If anyone has pics of either on their box please post here to help me decide.

I hate to burst your bubble. Those are not HIDs. Those are reflector based housings and if you were to put HID bulbs in those, the image would be all over the place.

What I would do is pick up some Anzos and retrofit a set of Acura TSX HID bulbs and ballasts in there. Another option would be to use the Honda S2000 HID system. Both options would work great and provide a super clean cutoff line.

Ref: http://www.hidretro.com/ for images of the retros done.

Here's an example of HID bulbs in a reflector base

Here's an example of HID in the wrong projector base (xB)

Here's an example of a real HID setup complete with retrofit

The xB in the second pic is from Frankenscion so you'll have to ask him. I believe he has the ANZO headlights though.

The third pic is an Audi A4. I used it to show you what the cutoff line should look like.

Cool, it does look a lot nicer, but i couldn't spend that much just for headlights. I'd just get the Anzo's and an HID kit for the cool look, even if the cutoff isn't as clean

Those are the Helix projectors. His light pattern MIGHT resemble something more like the 3rd example if he wasn't so close to the garage door, where's the car in the third example? Nowhere near the garage door.

More I think about it the more I don't like people using my pics as a what not to do post.

They are Helix dual projector lights and they were about 2 ft from the garage.

I really want projectors like the Anzo ones but i've hear you shouldn't put HIDs in them. Also every pic i see of the Anzos it doesn't look like the projectors are even lit up...just the halo part. What's up with that. Do they actually work or not? I would like to see a pic of them completely lit up.

Sorry about that man. I'll stop linking to the picture. If you would like, I will remove links I've already setup and find replacements if needed.

Yes, they generally run about $1000. That's pretty cheap by comparison of building a unit yourself that will cost almost as much for a single housing setup. On an average, you're looking at about 700-900 for a single HID system. The ICHIKOH VELIAS offer a twin ballast setup if I'm not mistaken. However, you can piece meal your own housing and wiring starting around $400 if you know what you are doing. You will have to setup a method for aiming the projectors though and resealing the housing. With a bit of research and some good money behind it ("What do you want us to know, throw money at it?") you can put together a nice set of real HIDs.
