Got the dome light in - HOLY SMACK! is it bright!!

Went to HomeDepot and they had 1.5 white pipe already cut about 22 inches long for 1.59+tax. Also picked up to end caps(free because I put them ON the pipe and the checker girl only charged for the pipe. My dad got a case of spray paint{unopened}and she only charged for ONE can of paint!!!) Anyways, cut about a 1.5 inch section out of the pipe length wise. Went to O'Reileys and got license plate brackes. I think they are #8 and they are the brackets and screws and fit perfect in the stock square holes. Would be done but I didnt get anything to hold hte pipe to the hatch. Looks like 2 inch L-brackets will work perfect. Gonna get them tomorrow.

when you hook it up and start the car, does your VSC/TRAC OFF, lights come on? If i put the original bulb back in its fine. Do I need a resistor or something?

I still have the other connecter on the other end. Notice you dont. Did you just cut it off?

When I have it plugged in, its on all the time with VSC/TRAC OFF/ABS on. If I change the wires, the bar is off and the LED tails are on constant with the above lights. If I put the normal bulb in, everything is fine and NO above lights.

yes I cut it off and connected it to the extra connector you get with the dome light. That way I have a quick disconnect

I dont have the other end cut off but I used the connector that came with the dome light also. I thin it has something to do with the tail lights too.

Ok, so I think I know whats going on but dont know what to do or get to fix it.

Its thinking that the "bulb" is burned out or not there. Its not using all the power that it should be, thus thinking its burned out. So what do I need to do or get?

So I need to get the right size resistor. If I put one on that bigger then needed will it still have the same problems? Is there an inline one i can wire in or will it need to be sodered on the board?

Some tell me the ohms of the bar please. Asked Oznium and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

I have taken it out for now and back to stock.

The only difference of how I had it wired was i didnt add wire to it. I took the 921 bulb adapter that came with the dome light and pluged it in the 3rd brake light socket and put the other end to the bar.

And yes I have LED tails. I think thats where the problem is at and I';m not giving up the tails.
