you don't need skill with one kit available at walmart.if you can take you wheels off, and use a paint brush, you can do it. Bill

u don't need painting skill...it's very elementary with the Dupli-Color Kit. I was surprised how easy it was.

I didn't have to mask off that much either... it's not like Spray paint, it's just simple brushing. Although the Kit comes with an inch wide brush...i recommend getting another fine brush for those hard to reach areas, it should cost no more than a dollar.

The whole kit cost me only $18. The labor wasn't too bad...just required taking the wheels off and painting. each coat of paint took about 15 min to dry... i used 2 jack stand to raise my frontend...so i could work on both side at the same time.

end result is priceless...

i'm not sure if it will be enough for the drums.. the kit is good for 4 calipers... but it depends on how many coats u apply. I've applied 3 coats on each calipers (2)..and have about 3/4 or so of paint left. But i'm not sure if that's enough to paint 2 drums...it will be enough to paint one drum for sure with 3 coats.

good luck...

Dang, I'm gonna have to go check tonight...

How's the yellow look compared to Gold-Line Springs? Is it close? Most of the yellow sprays I've seen looked paler than tweetie Bird...

Well..i'm running Goldline springs myself... although it's not a perfect match, i like the yellow caliper paint...it's not pale..rather it's almost gold-like yellow. it makes the Goldline springs look pale than the caliper.

hey mike, just looked up plastikote, that didn't have that green, thought they did.

http://www.plastikote.com/plastikote/auto/templatecolors.jsp?searchcode=RES&productId=17&product=BrakeCaliper&Colors=true&ExtraHtml=<a%20HREF=template.jsp?searchcode=SPECambersandproduct=CanGun><img%20SRC=images/sidebar1.jpg%20WIDTH=75%20HEIGHT=152%20BORDER=0></a>&ProductName=Brake%20Caliper%20Paint

they got red, blue, yellow, purple, silver & black... that's the spray type though.

nice yellow color there... looks good, i'm happy wth the plastikote spray though, mine came out nice, doesn't wear away at all... just a little more work doing the masking off. and i see you can still get "overspray" with the brush, lol... j/k

Mike, just buy two paint brush kits... yellow and blue, then mix your own green.

Those look really good. Might do red on mine, too.

Well, I finally got my red paint kit, and went to my Dad's today to try to paint the calipers.

Guess it was good to find out now rather than later... my jack no longer works on my car due to the body kit.

Dad had a hydraulic jack, but only one jack stand, and the jack doesn't fit under the car because it is so low to the ground.

I was thinking that maybe I could drive the front end up on some of those little mini-ramp things, and then slide the jack under the car... Just need to buy the ramps and a couple of short jack stands.

SCI FIRE come up to the scion central and I will lift up your car for you!! And if you bring the paint I will paint them for you and make a meet out of it!!

I still can't believe this topic is still alive, I told tbblizard how to paint his calipers months ago. (Back in march!!)
well here are mine from back than, I removed mine and had them sit in the sun for a few hours though. :D

Hey get 2 2x4's.
One longer than the other.Stack them with them longer one on the bottom.
Pull one side at a time up onto them,or if you have enough 2x4's,drive up on both sides.
Should be able to get you in the air high enough!

I have been looking for orange myself! Thanks for the link.
Those calipers are looking good!

i have the same problem since i put my kit on so i gotta use the factory jack and mini stands... i painted my calipers at home w/ high temp caliper paint... i'd suggest havin a bottle of paint thinner around to wipe down the over spray on the rotors... i masked them off the best i could but still got overspray...
