Well, I re-attached the piece under the pulley(only one I have), but my belts went bad anyway. Started a really loud squealing a couple of weeks ago, and the shop said it had twisted around, and had a slice in it. Got it replaced, but the squeaking/chirping started up again this week. The guys at the shop said maybe the harmonic balancer had started to separate, cause the belts are really tight. They are not quite straight, though. What do you guys think?
I hate being the squealing car.

Well, we figured out what the problem was. My pulleys were out of alignment for some reason. Ate up another belt in the process, but it is fixed now. Apparently the previous owner had the same problem at one point, since there was evidence of a partial fix. However, we don't know why it got out of alignment again. I have had it for almost 10 months, and it was 9 months before the problem started.
Anyway, it is running fine again.

Splash Skirt On Front of 2006 Box
I live in the desert. I'm thinking this would work well for me off the vehicle. It certainly is less of a pain not to have to remove it every time I want to work on the motor.
Incidentally, I just turned 122,000 and driven my box full of musical gear across the country from NY to Nevada twice and put several thousand miles on it moving musical gear to gigs in NY - overstuffed to the gills. The water pump just now finally decided to give out.
The only thing that has happened to me as a second owner is a coil pack failed out on my way here in August, and previous to that, the serpentine snapped on a desolate highway at 2:00 AM on my way home from a gig in NY. I'd say that's pretty freaking reliable!
Oh, and I'm on my 3rd tailgate garnish. That's another story! DOH!!!
